Asian Cultural Training: Doing Business in Asia the Right Way!
Australia’s multicultural society is growing quickly. The greatest immigration levels are now from the Asia Pacific region which is culturally very different from Australia. As stated in the Financial Review, “Ask any of the few Australian’s who are truly at home in an Asian language and culture and they will tell you how very different things are when you are accepted as a familiar friend”.
Australia can no longer afford to isolate itself from its Asian neighbours. The importance of China and the Asia Pacific region in terms of trade is significant. Multinationals see Australia as part of Asia Pacific and have an expectation that communication will flow between countries. To fulfill this expectation there needs to be a strong cultural awareness and understanding. Without this, companies will struggle to communicate effectively, which will have an effect on their overall performance.
Wentworth has recognized the struggle that Australian companies have with their Asian counterparts and stakeholders. A simple one day Doing Business in Asia Pacific workshop can ease the situation, allowing for understanding as to why difficulties are arising and how solutions can be found.

Testimonials
“Excellent - very well presented. It will help me by identifying the cultures of the Asian people, learning how to understand them and thus earning their respect, know and learn their beliefs, understand their financial goals and rewards. I will believe in them more so now than before. Work more closely with them to understand their values. Listen to them as if I am part of their family. Course: 10/10, Trainer: 10/10.” Stan Vassilis, IGA Distribution
“Very informative, wish I’d done it a year ago. Sally Anne was very knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects and business cultures. It will help me when building and maintaining relationships. I have a better understanding of what I have to put in to make it work. I will spend more time on communication and not just building relationships. Course - 9/10, Trainer - 10/10.” Dave Curtis, Marsh
