About the Course

“The Complete Presenter” presentation skills training workshop is aimed at giving you a range of techniques and tips that will sharpen up your delivery, make your presenations more effective and give you added confidence when presenting.

The content is practical and to the point. The approach is also very interactive; you can expect to have at least 2 goes on your feet putting into practice the techniques you have learnt.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will have increased confidence to present effectively to a wide variety of audiences.

Course Outline

  • Overview of the session – objectives, approach and key outcomes
  • Warm up exercise – “3 things I know….”
  • Delivery tips - an overview of some of the key technical and interpersonal aspects of presentation so that delegates present well during the first trial run.
  • Handling nerves and shifting negative beliefs - a key to confidence.
  • 5-7 minute presentations – each person presents for 5-7 minutes utilising at least 3 of the techniques discussed and using 1 visual aid. We will give immediate feedback, with good points first and then 2-3 areas for improvement.
  • Structure – how to structure a presentation so that it engages the audience, gets across the key messages and creates the outcome or response required.
  • Using language effectively - some tips to ensure that what‘s said carries the message effectively.
  • Physiology and body language - ground rules for non-verbal communication when presenting.
  • Second presentation – each person presents for 5 minutes, with immediate feedback from the group and facilitators.
  • Summary of key learning points and close.
